1. Nancy Pelosi is a liar.
2. How about those Houston Rockets? (As JMW pointed out, I keep picking against them and they keep surprising me. So: I predict a Lakers victory on Sunday in Game 7)

Yep and Yep.
I have been following these playoffs, and have been rooting for Houston, because it makes a pretty good story, but at the end of the day, I am not going to jump up and down and go crazy if the Rockets win. Outside of a couple of players, this team really does not excite me. I really do wish we did not have Artest
Yep and Yep.
I don't have high hopes for the Rockets on Sunday, but if they win it would make me (briefly) happy. Don't like these Lakers...
It's a great story. Regardless of the outcome of tomorrow's game. How can this team not excite you? Without McGrady and Yao, there are no stars. It is all tough, hard working role players. Artest is a lunatic, but he's our lunatic. You aren't hiring him to babysit your kids, you want him to help your team win. The Rockets are bigger than any individual player.
Uh-oh. I just signed Artest to a long-term, multi-year, babysitting contract. He asked for a cocaine allowance as part of the negotiations, which I thought seemed reasonable.
Have I erred?
Well, on the one hand they pushed the Lakers to seven games without their two biggest stars. On the other, they made Games 5 and 7 about as exciting as me and four overweight postal workers would have. Yuck.
OK, "me . . . would have" is improper. Sue me.
